The
Mashfeed Privacy Policy describes how we treat
personal information when you use Mashfeed products
and services, including information provided when you use Mashfeed
Services. In addition, the following describes our privacy practices that are
specific to Mashfeed Services.
Personal
information
A.
You must set up an account on Mashfeed in order to
upload Content. Mashfeed asks for some personal
information when you create a Mashfeed account,
including your email address and a password, which is used to protect your
account from unauthorized access.
B.
Users may view Content posted on the Mashfeed Site by
other users without registering for an account.
C.
When you use Mashfeed, Mashfeed
servers automatically record certain information about your use. Similar to
other web services, Mashfeed records information such
as account activity (including storage usage and number of log-ins), data
displayed or clicked on (including UI links); and other log information
(including, without limitation, browser type, IP-address, date and time of
access, cookie ID, and referrer URL).
D. We send encrypted data over a secure
connection if you choose to search for other Users using the Services via your
mobile phoneÕs address book. We do not store this information.
Uses
and Information Sharing
A.
Mashfeed maintains and processes your Content and
account information in order to provide the Mashfeed
Services to you and to operate and improve our Services.
B.
Users who view your Content will see information about you including your
Content, your name, a link to your profile. Your
selected username may appear as part of the page URL with respect to Content
viewed on the Site.
C.
Your public Content will be connected with your Mashfeed
Profile.
D.
Your Content may be visible in Mashfeed Services to
users who have access to view them. Your public Content may also be indexed and
discoverable in third party services, such as search engines.
E.
Users may comment on or ÒlikeÓ your Content; these comments or likes can be
seen by anyone who views your Content. Your Content can also be
ÒsharedÓ with others on the web via email and third party sites such as
Twitter and Facebook.
F.
We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your personal information with any
third parties except in the circumstances described in the Mashfeed
Privacy Policy, such as when we believe we are required to do so by law, and
other limited circumstances.
For example, Mashfeed
may also disclose your personal information: (a) when we are legally required
to do so; (b) to protect the interests or safety of Mashfeed
or its Users; (c) to another company in the event of a merger or acquisition.
G.
Mashfeed may review your Content if a User complaint
is received, or if we have reason to believe that the account is used in
violation of our Terms of Use.
Security Measures
While Mashfeed has
security measures to help protect the information under our control, no data
transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be
100% secure.
Mashfeed tries to protect your personal information
and ensure the security of your communications on our systems, by maintaining
physical, organizational and technological safeguards (appropriate to the
sensitivity of such information) designed to protect it against unauthorized
use, disclosure or access of the personal information we collect on this Site.
However, we cannot ensure or warrant that any information you transmit to us will
stay safe and secure and you do so at your own risk.
Your
information may be stored in whole or in part on equipment or in facilities
leased or licensed from others. Although Mashfeed
tries to keep your information safe, it relies on the statements of those
vendors regarding the safety and security of their storage equipment and
services as part of its evaluation. By using the Site, you agree that Mashfeed is not responsible if the storage equipment and
services provided by others aren't working like they are supposed to, and that
you will have to seek any remedies from those providers, not Mashfeed.
